Assistant Site Manager – Internals

The role & about the client: On behalf of our client, Bond Recruit are searching for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join an award-winning house builder on a traditional build 120 unit development in Chichester.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY’S:  

Understanding the company’s health and safety policy and ensure that it is implemented by all staff under your control. • Understanding the health and safety requirements relating to operations under your control and ensure they are fully and correctly implemented in accordance with the appropriate risk assessments and/or method statements. • Pre-plan operations in conjunction with the Build Manager and Site Manager to coordinate health and safety taking into account any special hazards or problems involved. • Ensure that the health and safety plan is monitored and kept up to date. • Ensure that adequate welfare facilities are established on site from the commencement to the completion of the contract. • Control over both site staff and subcontractors, whilst liaising between head office and local authority departments. • Actively encourage a philosophy of safety, progress, quality and innovation. • Monitor the reports produced by the Regional Health and Safety Advisor to ensure that the recommendations they contain are implemented. • Ensure statutory inspection reports on scaffolding, excavations, lifting appliances, accidents, etc. are completed as required. • Set a personal example by conforming to company health and safety procedures and site rules. • Providing regular feedback and reports on all activities as required. • Ensure that adequate first aid stocks are maintained and that a trained first aider or appointed person is available on site. • Record and report all accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements. • Coordinate all activities on site in a safe manner and ensure all activities are produced in line with agreed construction programmers and costs. • Record variations and measure thereof to all subcontract works. • Attend and participate in training as required. • Maintain all company administration procedures as required.

ABOUT YOU: 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager delivering traditional build housing projects. Essential Qualifications/ experience required/ specific requirements for the role: • Experience working within the house building industry • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager • SMSTS/SSSTS-Desirable but not Essential • CSCS Card • First Aid Training/Progression opportunities: • Future opportunities to progress into Site Management positions.

Senior Site Manager

Work is due to commence on a new project in Dorset consisting of Town Houses and Apartments for a local Housing Association and are seeking a Site Manager to run the project.

Site Manager – RC Frame

Bond Recruit are working with a well known residential contractor, assisting them with the recruitment of a Senior Site Manager for one of their RC frame developments in Dorchester.

The project is an RC frame apartment and townhouse development, and is there is around two years left of work on this scheme. In addition to this, a lot of my clients projects are situated nearby, offering longevity with the business, as well as locality.

As a company, they are heavy on promoting from within, and are happy to look at individuals that have an internal or external bias.

My client are looking for a driven individual, who are looking for a step up in terms of position, furthering their career progression, and are willing to pay £60,000-£65000 for the right person.

This opportunity is with a business who have a high level of staff retention, as well as a healthy pipeline of future work.

Senior Site Manager

My Client are looking to recruit a Senior Site Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Construction Manager you will work alongside the development team to ensure the site programme is planned, delivered and effectively monitored on a daily basis.

You will manage a team responsible for monitoring all site resources including labour, plant and materials as well as client customer service.  As a Senior Site Manager you will also be expected to take ownership of site issues and ensure they are dealt with promptly.  

You will participate in and create a culture where operatives recognise risks to prevent issues arising, ultimately working towards a proactive response rather than a reactive system. You will ensure that Health and Safety standards are maintained through a constant checking process and you will be confident in taking immediate corrective action if you witness a breach of the guidelines.

ABOUT YOU: 

Demonstrable motivational and people management techniques are required to encourage the team to meet targets and deadlines. Communication skills are paramount to ensure that the necessary teams are kept up to date with any changes on the site. You will be required to lead sub-contractor, project team and site sales meetings. Additionally, you will work alongside the Site Manager to ensure costs are controlled and identify potential savings.

The ideal candidate will be computer literate and have experience working to NHBC standards. It is important to have an understanding of the construction process with the ability to work at heights, and hold valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates. Competency in Scaffold Awareness, Traffic Management and Lifting Ops is desirable, although training can be provided. You will be confident in explaining technical information, an excellent problem solver and have strong time management skills

M&E Supervisor

My client is a leading Principal Contractor who are currently recruiting for an M&E Supervisor on a multi phased mixed Resi build & Fit Out.

RESPONSIBILITY’S :

• Reporting to and working with the Project Manager.

• Supervising of all Mechanical and Electrical works.

• Supervising, coordinating, and managing sub-contractors.

• Assess the quality of work that the client’s Labour and its sub-contractors are delivering.

• To manage the QA and monitor programme.

• Materials Buying

• Dealing with any technical issues that may arise.

• Making sure that safe working practices are always maintained.

REQUIREMENTS:

• SSSTS or SMSTS.

• Mechanical or Electrical trade or Engineering qualification.

Contracts Manager – Residential Construction

I currently have a great opportunity for a Contracts Manager who will be working for a regional house builder within Dorset!

REQUIREMENTS:

CSCS, SMSTS and First aid

Residential / New build experience as a Contracts Manager

Ability to liaise with clients and manage a project to a high level whilst maintaining within budgets and standard expected as a Contracts Manager, you will have a number of responsibilities which of some include: 

Liaise with Subcontractors and Quantity Surveyors to ensure everything is running according to plan

Ensure that the work being completed is running in line with the client’s and company’s requirements

Arrange and lead meetings whether that is with colleagues or client’s to make sure that progress is being made

Cost analysis on the projects being completed

Monitor and review quality assurance
